Privacy

panashe is made for quiet reading before God - no accounts, no advertising, no tracking.

Effective: July 1, 2026

What stays on your device

The site keeps only a small record in your browser: your last-opened chapter, chosen font, text size, audio voice and speed, verse-number visibility, line layout, theme, and any witnesses you have brought through Communion. These remain on your device and are never used to build a public identity. You may export or import a backup from the settings menu. Clear your site data at any time to remove everything.

Anonymous suggestions

If you use the Suggestions form, the site receives only the subject and message you choose to send. It asks for no name and no email. No drafts are kept in your browser. Submissions are stored server-side for review and improvement of the work.

Information when you visit

The site is delivered by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may receive ordinary technical information - your IP address, browser type, requested path, and timestamp - so the site can be delivered and protected. Cloudflare governs that data under its own privacy policy.

Communion witnesses

When you bring a witness through Communion, a one-way hash of your IP address is used only to enforce the one-per-day rule. Your raw IP address is never stored. The witness you offer is recorded against a random device identifier, not your identity.

What we do not collect

No user accounts. No public profiles. No advertising system. No behavioral analytics. No payment processing. We do not sell anyone's information, and we do not build profiles for advertising or any other purpose.

Clipboard and sharing

The site touches your clipboard only when you choose to copy or share a passage. The text is written to your device's clipboard and is never sent to us.

Daily reading

Your daily passage is chosen locally on your device using the present date and the Bible data included with the site. Your reading activity is never submitted to us.

The Bible text

The site presents the King James Version with Apocrypha (KJVA), based on the 1769 King James Version text. Book descriptions, chapter titles, and thematic introductions are original editorial material and are not part of the Bible text itself.

Third-party providers

The site depends on Cloudflare for hosting, delivery, and API infrastructure. The site itself does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, social trackers, or third-party embeds. Typefaces are self-hosted. For Cloudflare's handling of ordinary technical request data, see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the site's features or service providers change. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision.
