The Name
Panashe is a Shona name meaning that God is present, or that a place belongs to His presence. It is not a claim that this site is holy ground. It is a confession that reading the Bible is never mere information - we come asking to hear, believe, repent, and obey.
The living God has spoken by the prophets and apostles, and supremely in His Son, Jesus Christ. The Scriptures bear witness to Him, teach the fear of the Lord, correct the heart, and make the people of God wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
The Lord is near to all them that call upon him in truth.
What this place is
Three things, kept deliberately small: a daily passage chosen quietly by the date, the same for everyone who comes; a full Bible - the King James Version with Apocrypha - fast, clean, and readable; and a daily Communion where readers answer the day's passage with Scripture alone.
No accounts. No comments. No names. The Word answering the Word.
What this place refuses
No profiles. No followers. No comments. No tracking. No advertising. Your reading preferences stay on your device; offerings are stored without identity, and IP addresses are hashed only for daily anti-abuse limits.
The design withdraws so that the Word may stand forward.
Reading and design
You may enlarge the text, choose a readable typeface, listen by audio, show or hide verse numbers, and use light or dark appearance. Save the site to your device and it works offline. Reading preferences stay on your device. The design is here to serve the reading, not compete with it.
A plain reading mode is available at the lite reader for older phones, slow connections, and any situation where you want the full text without JavaScript.
Suggestions
If you find an error, a confusing phrase, or a better way to serve faithful reading, you may send a suggestion. The form asks neither your name nor your email address, and nothing is kept in your browser.
